What is a National Blue Ribbon School?

The U.S. Department of Education awards a National Blue Ribbon Award to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement or make significant progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups.

When P.S. 66, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, received this prestigious award in 2013, it was honored as an Exemplary High Performing School, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and high standards in education.
