Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

students at the front entrance

Arrival:

To ensure the safety of all students, families must drop off their child at either the main entrance or the side entrance (Exit 8).

  • Students in grades K-5 use the side entrance (Exit 8) for morning arrival.
  • After 8:10 a.m., Exit 8 will be locked by the Safety Officer. Students arriving after this time must enter through the main entrance.

3-K & Pre-K
  • Arrival time for 3-K and Pre-K students is 8:00 a.m. Parents and children must enter through the main entrance. Parents will drop off their child at the classroom door.

Breakfast Drop-Off (Grades K-5)
  • Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. Students will enter through Exit 8 and go directly to the cafeteria.
  • Important: Students may not be dropped off before 7:30 a.m. as staff supervision is not available before this time.

Early Pickup:
  • No early pickups will be accommodated after 1:45 p.m., as this disrupts the dismissal process, particularly for bus students.
  • Parents who arrive to pick up their child after 1:45 p.m. will be asked to wait until regular dismissal and must pick up their child at their assigned dismissal location.
  • To sign out a student at any time, a valid physical photo ID is required (e.g., passport, driver’s license, or state-issued ID). Photos of ID on a phone will not be accepted.

Dismissal:

Timely pickup is essential. Please make every effort to arrive on time for dismissal.

  • 3-K and Pre-K: Dismissal is at 2:10 p.m. Parents must pick up their child from the classroom. Please have your pass ready for verification.
  • Kindergarten & SC1: Dismissal is at 2:10 p.m. Parents must pick up their child from the cafeteria. Please have your pass ready for verification.
  • Grades 1, 2, 3 & SC2: Dismissal is at 2:15 p.m. Students will be dismissed in the schoolyard.
  • Grades 4, 5 & SC3: Dismissal is at 2:15 p.m. Students will be dismissed at the driveway on 85th Road.

Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal process for all students.
