Congratulations to Mr. Mastrogiovanni and our talented Race Car Derby Team — Savita, Liam, Levi, Mateo, Kaylen, Santiago, Tajbinur, Miguel, and Johan — for winning the Queens Championship! Our students showcased incredible teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and school spirit as they proudly represented PS 66. We are so proud of their outstanding achievement!

Students in grades 3–5 at PS 66 participated in the Mets on the Move fitness initiative, engaging in fun, movement-based activities that promote healthy habits. The month-long program kicked off with an exciting visit from Mr. Met, inspiring students to stay active and build lifelong wellness skills.

Jackie Agossa visited our 4th graders to share lessons on money, positive thinking, and goal setting—encouraging students to build strong habits for future success.

Students in grades 3 and 5 are participating in hands-on healthy cooking and nutrition lessons led by Allergic to Salad. These interactive sessions teach students how to prepare fresh, nutritious meals while building lifelong healthy eating habits.

During Civics for All Week, students participated in a schoolwide poster contest and practiced real-world democracy through participatory voting. These activities helped students explore civic engagement and the power of their voices in the community.

Students in grades 3-5 put their math facts fluency and problem-solving skills to the test in an exciting tournament filled with challenges.

Each year, families of students in grades 3-K through 12 are invited to complete the NYC school survey. Your feedback helps school leaders understand community perspectives and supports meaningful conversations on how we can continue improving our school for all learners.

All families who complete a survey will receive a raffle entry for a chance to win a 32-inch flat screen TV, bicycle, scooter, or soccer ball.

Our 5th grade students completed the HMH Inventors at Work module and celebrated their learning by hosting an engaging Inventor’s Museum for parents and students in grades 3 and 4, where they shared fascinating facts about the inventors they researched and explained the inventions that changed the world.

Our Student Council led a successful Thanksgiving Food Drive, bringing our school community together to support families in need. Through generosity, teamwork, and compassion, our students truly lived the Knight’s Code by giving back and making a meaningful impact this holiday season.
